Thrift Store Find

Today, I found a thrift store type of find all from the comfort of my home.  We are in the process of remodeling and finishing our basement after living here for 15 years!  I've been keeping an eye out for some furniture to use that looks great without spending a ton of money.

Today, I found this little beauty.

We have the neatest little page on Facebook.  It's an On-line Yard Sale.  What better way to shop during the heat than from the comfort of your own home?

A friend started this site a couple of years ago, because it was too hot to have a yard-sale.  Several of us suggested she had a great idea and should make it available for more people, so she created a Facebook Page for it.  The page has grown into over 10,800 people in our little area.  It's morphed into 90 albums.  You can find just about anything you are looking for!  It's a quick and painless way to get rid of a few items that are cluttering up the house, make a little extra $, and find just what you are looking for without spending the time and money driving from place to place.

Do you have something like this in your area?  If not, maybe YOU should be the person who starts one for your community.  It's a GREAT tool for the person who is looking to live a RICH life in a SIMPLE manner!  :)

Living a Rich Life in a Simple Manner

I've tried blogging before.  In fact, I've had 2 teaching blogs.  I enjoy blogging, but not through ONLY my professional life.  I always felt that I had to show off EVERY. TINY. DETAIL of my classroom.  Well, I'm here to tell you, I just don't have time to do that and teach!

I feel that I have a lot to share, but have realized, it's not through teaching.  Instead, I would like to share ALL aspects of my life.  After all, I have 51 years of wisdom stored up!  haha...

I've learned a lot through this journey called life.  I've learned to live a RICH life in a SIMPLE manner.  Hopefully, I can help share some things with you that will allow you to live the same way.  Am I rich??  You better believe it!!  BUT, not in a monetary kind of way.  I'm so rich in my many blessings that God has bestowed upon us.  I'm rich in my family and so many other ways I'll be sharing.  I'm not sure where this blogging journey is going to take me, but I've been mulling this over for about a month now, and feel it's what I'm supposed to be doing, so let's see where this thing takes me!  :-)
